Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge is near Sherrill's residence in Glenwood, FL, outside historic DeLand, FL. Sherrill's proximity to Lake Woodruff provides her with ample opportunity to hike its many scenic trails. These excursions inspired this new original work. Sherrill was selected as the Featured Artist at the 2001 DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts. This stunning work was donated by Sherrill to the festival for this, their 9th Annual event. ''Golden Hour at Woodruff'' has gained the praise of the West Volusia Audubon Society.
